ALL ABOUT JEE MAINS 2020(APRIL SESSION):-
The first door you need to unlock to become an IITian is to walk successfully through the doors of JEE-MAINS which is going to be held on 5, 7, 8, 9, 11 Apr 2020. JEE MAINS is all about timing and accuracy mostly the questions won't be difficult, they will be what you have solved in your two year preparation time, from Previous Year Papers,your coaching test papers,Additional problems of N.C.E.R.T. books and a blend of some new problems.
The student who will choose right questions and solve them accurately within the time limit will win the game.If one talks about time and accuracy in JEE MAINS ,the first subject that poops in our minds is "CHEMISTRY".I think it pooped into your head too😃 .If it did you are on right track and if not you are about to get on after reading this.
LAST MONTH REVISION STRATEGY FOR SCORING 100/100 CHEMISTRY IN JEE MAINS 2020 :-
The first thing which comes into my mind after hearing the word chemistry is MARKS.
JEE chemistry can be broadly divided into three parts:-Physical,organic&inorganic.we will discuss more about them below.

- Inorganic chemistry - Believe me guys, the paper will contain equal proportion of inorganic chemistry as organic and physical. This section is the underdog section in the whole paper but can fetch you full marks. Every year the paper is bound to have questions from the following topics:-
1)Chemical bonding:-
There will be 1-2 questions from this.The questions will include basic structure drawing based on VSEPR theory. Last year they had a question asking differences between VSEPR theory and VBT which was new for me as VBT was never a JEE MAIN material, so go through postulates of each theory.One question can be of lone pair counting which can come in NUMERICAL TYPE .

2)Co-ordination compounds:-
One of the most important topics for JEE ADVANCED indeed but in JEE MAINS you can expect easier question from it.A thorough NCERT reading once will suffice for it because some of the important concepts like dentisity of ligands some facts given in importance of co-ordination compounds are important and will constitute 1 question.The second question will be from VBT (hybridisation,shape and magnetic properties) are very important and yes don't forget the Werner's Theory.Some very difficult questions can be framed on this theory, but let this be a surprise for you till JEE ADVANCED 2020.You can again expect a NUMERICAL TYPE question from this topic like counting lone pairs, MAGNETIC MOMENT etc. On an ending note isomerism has not been the taste of JEE MAINS but after JEE MAINS 2018 my thoughts were changed. It had one question on isomerism regarding cis -trans and that was beyond the level of JEE MAINS.So have a look at that too.

The questions were not tough but were totally unexpected in so much quantity.So I highly recommend to thoroughly read NCERT. Compounds like Potassium dichromate and Potassium permanganate forms the soul of the chapter.Do remember their reactions.

F Block is only in JEE MAINS syllabus and very less questions can be framed from it so previous year papers will be enough for it.

ORGANIC CHEMISTRY :- A nice,interesting and conceptual subject.The questions asked are mostly inter-related with multiple concepts being used in a single question.But still it was my all time favorite(except for what came in JEE ADVANCED 2018 😝).Now lets see the topics briefly-
1)IUPAC NOMENCLATURE-
Nothing much to say, if you are lucky enough then you will see one question in your paper related to it and you can only solve it if you know all the rules.So for those who have studied the topic , just revise the rules and don't get into complex nomenclature of big compounds , and for those who haven't studied it dare not do that as it will consume maximum time and also seeing a question in the paper is quite unlikely,instead study any other chapter.

Look! this is a use based chapter i.e. you have used and will use it in your entire organic chemistry.So you are good at it just have confidence. Some of the common questions includes acidic and basic strength comparison.

Now I want to classify full organic chemistry of JEE MAINS in two sub-heads-
3)NAME REACTIONS :-
This will constitute a major part of the paper being directly asked as independent question or as a part of a question.So the best way to learn them is to jot them down in a note copy and remember them.

4)CONCEPTUAL PROBLEMS:-
Everything else is conceptual part of organic chemistry. So for this part you need to solve alot of questions. For end time revision just go through your class notes and stick to NCERT for a final check and you will be all ready to go.

- PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY:- One of the favorite part of chemistry of most of you and a highly scoring section indeed. In short you need to know the formulas from each chapter to solve majority of the problems in JEE MAINS 2020.So lets see some of the last minute topics which can help you score more and reach to your maximum.The order in which I will describe the topics will be the order of easiness of questions that will come.
1)Solid State:- Expect one damn easy question on this topic.mostly two types of question you will face
To calculate Molecular formula of a compound
- From the table given on NCERT page no.-3 and
2)Liquid Solutions:- Only 4 formulas will save your day for this chapter.
1)Elevation in Boiling Point.
2)Depression in Freezing point.
3)Osmotic pressure.
4)Relative lowering of vapor pressure and Abnormal Molecular weight questions.

3)Atomic Structure :- A multibagger chapter. You will find questions from this topic on both physics and chemistry.Just go through all formulas of this chapter.
4)Gaseous State :- Only two thing PV=nRT , and real gas equation. Expect 1 question from this topic.
Rest of the topics like Mole Concept, Surface Chemistry,Electrochemistry(study Nernst equation) are easy and revise them from your class notes and give a final reading from NCERT.
I have written this article keeping in my mind my own experience during my jee journey and today i am an IITian so i think if anyone follows all of the above tips he will surely crack jee main.
